Green Tomato Chutney
This recipe, originally called Rectory Chutney, was given to my Granny by her local priest. My Mum has always made it and it is what I grew up on - the inspiration behind all of my chutneys.
This is what I refer to as a completely traditional British chutney. While it has no particularly strong flavours, it has a lightness and balance perfect for salads of cheese and cold meat.
